“Do not be amazed! You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him" (Mk 16:6).

Confession

It is called the sacrament of forgiveness, since by the priest’s sacramental absolution God grants the penitent “pardon and peace.” It is called the sacrament of Reconciliation, because it imparts to the sinner the life of God who reconciles: ‘Be reconciled to God.’ He who lives by God’s merciful love is ready to respond to the Lord’s call: “Go; first be reconciled to your brother.” (CCC 1422-1424)

First Reconciliation is celebrated by the 2nd graders as part of their preparation for their First Holy Communion. Those attending Saint Anne School receive their preparation during their normal religion class. Those attending public or home schools receive their preparation through the Parish Religious Education Program.

Call the Parish Office for more information: 815-288-3131.

The Sacrament of Confession is offered every Saturday from 3:30pm-4:30pm.
