The letters RCIA stand for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. The RCIA is the process through which adults are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic Faith and way of life. The RCIA program is for three categories of people:
(1) Adults in need of Baptism;
(2) Adults baptized in another Christian tradition who desire to become Catholic;
(3) Adults baptized in the Catholic Church in need of First Holy Communion and/or Catholic Confirmation.
The goal of the RCIA is to foster a personal encounter and intimate union with Jesus Christ and his Holy Church. This goal is obtained through education, practicing the Catholic faith, and the reception of the three sacraments of Christian initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist. The RCIA will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 p.m., starting September 6th.
If you or someone you know living in Dixon is interested in joining our parish RCIA program, please fill out one of the RCIA Registration Forms at the link below and mail it or hand it in to the St. Anne Parish Office. If you have any questions, please call: (815) 288-3131.
