“Do not be amazed! You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him" (Mk 16:6).

For Adults

Dear parishioners,

Once again, our parish will be hosting its OCIA program. The letters OCIA stand for Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. The OCIA is the process through which adults are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic Faith and way of life. The OCIA program is for three categories of people:

  1. Adults in need of Baptism.
  2. Adults baptized in another Christian tradition who desire to become Catholic.
  3. Adults baptized in the Catholic Church in need of First Holy Communion and/or Catholic Confirmation.

The goal of the OCIA is to foster a personal encounter and intimate union with Jesus Christ and his Holy Church. This goal is obtained through education, practicing the Catholic faith, and the reception of the three sacraments of Christian initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist. The OCIA will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 p.m., starting September 6th. It will be hosted at the St. Anne Parish Office (1104 N. Brinton Ave., Dixon, IL 61021). If you or someone you know living in Dixon is interested in joining our parish OCIA program, please fill out one of the OCIA Registration Forms above and mail it or hand it in to the St. Anne Parish Office. So that we can order the correct number of materials, please turn in your form as soon as possible or no later than Tuesday, August 30th. If you have any questions, or if you are interested in being part of our OCIA teaching team, please call: (815) 288-3131. We will be using the Symbolon series which you can preview here.
