August 20, 2021 Letter to Families

August 20, 2021

Dear St. Anne Catholic Parish, School, and Preschool Academy Families,

We hope everyone is having a great first week of the new school year! My sincere thanks to the First United Methodist Church for their hospitality to our St. Anne School community. I write to provide a very important update on the status of our St. Anne Church and School building.

We have received and reviewed the additional proposal we were seeking for the repair and reinforcement of our church roof beams. That proposal estimates that the repair work will begin in late September/early October and will take approximately three weeks to be completed. Given, however, the possibility of delays in the project, the contractor has assured us that the work will be completed no later than December 1, 2021. I forwarded this proposal to our Diocese and received approval for the repair project. I am very happy to share that the contract for services was signed today. My sincere thanks to everyone in our Diocesan Offices for their assistance with this process.

After the repairs are completed, we will need to do some final cleanup and touch-up work. Following those finishing touches, we plan to transition our St. Anne School students and staff from the First United Methodist Church back to our home here at St. Anne’s.

In the coming weeks, we will keep you informed about the progress of the project. I appreciate everyone’s prayers and patience throughout this entire process. Please continue to pray for the successful completion of the repairs to our St. Anne Church and School building. Along with the promise of my own prayers, I wish everyone the very best on the start of a new school year!

God bless,

Fr. Timothy Draper,

Pastor
